tomatic is a venture with the objective to fund, create and operate interesting web properties that matter to the world. enter popurls, a simple dashboard to the realtime-web that became one of the most popular sites and received an honoree at the webbys for enabling real world activities online. when not working on new ideas i'm doing selected consulting work for interface design and strategies for a new web generation. i'm jury member for the annual webAwards, the apml workgroup and the international liaison group for the web standards project but i'm also happy to contribute to your ideas.

how i got here

prior to incorporating tomatic i co-founded werk3, one of austria's first professional web agencies in the mid-nineties which eventually led to celum, market leader in enterprise digital media asset management. armed with many insights i left the corporate world and sold my share in 2007, but suffice it to say i learned most entrepreneurship lessons about how to create something from nothing and growing a company. throughout the years i've always been at the intersection of technology, design and people which makes me a jack of all trades and master of none though ofttimes being fluent in many worlds always worked for me. generally speaking, if it's about the web i'm really all over it and when not training for the next marathon i eat apple yoghurt or take a snapshot.
